If you are interested in running for an elected three-year seat on the Library Board of Trustees:
• Review the “Job Description of a Library Trustee”
• Review “How the Roles of Trustees and Library Director Differ”
• Review the Board of Trustee Minutes posted online
• Attend meetings of the Board of Trustees to meet Board members and see what is involved
• Ask questions! Email Board Chair at trusteechairwfl@gmail.com.
If a three-year commitment is too long, consider volunteering for a one-year Alternate position:
• Read the “Are you interested in serving as an Alternate or Trustee?” letter
• Read the the materials listed above for Trustees and attend meetings of the Board of Trustees
• Review the “Alternate Trustee Policy”
• Complete an Alternate Application.
• Alternate Trustee applications are available online here or pick up a Trustee Application form at the Whipple Free Library.
